All citizens of countries that are not members of the European Union need a work permit to enter the Netherlands and to be able to work in the Netherlands. Finding the correct visa and permit for you takes time, but sometimes the information can also be quite confusing. The problem is that you have to be very careful filling in all the forms, because a small mistake in your application can have very serious consequences. Payingit International is happy to handle all the paperwork for you, so you are sure your entry to the labor market is processed quick and smoothly.
The IND handles all types of applications from internationals who want to live and work in the Netherlands. The IND is the only organisation that issues work permits in the whole of the Netherlands. The IND is responsible for ensuring that immigration applications are handled properly and efficiently and that the correct permits are issued to each applicant.
There are applications from people of all nationalities and from companies who need permission from the IND to employ an employee to work for them in the Netherlands. For all these applications, different types of immigration permits are required, such as a visa, residence permits or a work permit.
There are different types of visas available that are relevant for you as a highly skilled migrant.
Check the website of the IND for more information about how you can apply or contact us if you have any questions.
Foreign nationals may choose from the options below to have their work permits validated:
One of the immigration requirements of the IND for foreign contractors to work in the Netherlands is that the prospective employer must provide details about the position they hold in the Netherlands. In some cases, the IND will take a labor market test to see whether the candidate will earn a salary that matches special skills and whether those skills are not already available from the EU. Another requirement is that the applicant must have a master’s degree.
A highly skilled migrant, also known as a highly skilled worker, adds substantial value for the Dutch knowledge economy and has skills and experience that are scarce on the Dutch labor market. In most cases, however, highly skilled migrants are not required to prove that Dutch or EU workers cannot do their job; defining highly skilled migrants by age and salary will be sufficient for most applications. A master’s degree and a minimum salary are required in any case.
